    Pat Schena - Director of Advising

    Pat serves as the Director of SIG Advising, where he leads a program dedicated to guiding goaltenders and their families through the challenges of prep school, junior, collegiate, and professional hockey. Since launching the advising division, Pat has grown it into a trusted resource that has supported over 100 clients in just two years, while building a team of advisors for both the men’s and women’s game.

    Before transitioning into advising, Pat forged his own path as a student-athlete. A graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, he went on to play NCAA Division III hockey at the University of New England, where he earned Academic All-Conference honors. He then advanced to NCAA Division I at Boston University, becoming part of the 2023 Hockey East Championship team and competing in the Frozen Four. His playing career instilled the discipline, perspective, and experience he now shares with the next generation of goalies.

    Kelly Dyer Hayes - Women's Advisor

    Kelly leads the Stop It Goaltending Women’s Advising Program. She is a trailblazer in the world of women’s sports, boasting a rich and diverse career as an athlete, coach, and industry professional. A former goaltender for Team USA’s Women’s National Hockey Team, she earned accolades including MVP and Best Goaltender and made history as one of the first women to play men’s professional hockey. Kelly has served in key roles with USA Hockey and the International Ice Hockey Federation, advancing women’s hockey through innovative programs. Kelly’s legacy spans coaching, public speaking, and Olympic game operations, inspiring progress and inclusion in women’s hockey at every level. Kelly has an incredible network and looking forward to helping young female players achieve their goals.

    Kelly is a driver in promoting women in hockey with strong relationships across North America who has lived the path to goaltending success. The Northeastern Women’s Hockey alum and Hall of Famer is ready to help female goalies of all ages create a path of their own.

    Corey Milan - Men's Advisor

    Corey is a former NCAA Division I ice hockey goaltender best known for his standout career at Union College, where he played from 2007 to 2011. A native of Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Milan built a reputation as a reliable and high-performing netminder, earning multiple honors throughout his collegiate and junior career.

    Milan made an immediate impact at Union, being named to the All-ECAC Hockey Rookie Team in his freshman season. His sophomore year saw him start all 39 games, setting a then-program record with 19 wins and earning Governor’s Cup MVP honors. Over his collegiate career, he posted a career-best 2.06 goals-against average (GAA) and a .917 save percentage, ranking among the program’s all-time best in both categories.

    Before joining Union, Milan played three seasons with the Penticton Vees (BCHL), where he was named Goaltender of the Year and team MVP. He compiled a junior career record of 94–51–5, with a .914 save percentage and eight shutouts.

    Following college, Milan continued his hockey journey at the professional level, suiting up in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) during the 2011 season with the Mississippi Surge, Pensacola Ice Flyers, and Huntsville Havoc.

    Pierce Charleson - Men's Advisor

    Pierce brings his winning experience and pro background to the Stop It Goaltending Advising Program, helping young goalies chart their own path to success. His journey began with a National Junior A Championship as a member of the 2018–19 Brooks Bandits before moving on to three seasons in the B1G with Michigan State University.

    After earning his Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Niagara University, Pierce went on to play professionally in the LA Kings system. Drawing from his own experiences across Junior, NCAA Division I, and professional hockey, Pierce is passionate about guiding goalies through the challenges and opportunities of their careers while providing the knowledge and direction they need to reach their full potential.
